Old projects and files

Finding old projects is not an easy task as: depending on your line of work, you don’t always keep a copy of your documents. This happens to me quite often and is such a burden as sometimes it’s hard to recollect all they project narrative by memory.

However, I find that preparing a portfolio is a self-analysis process. You need to think through your old work to develop a narrative to present skills, work ethics and mental models. It’s also very interesting to observe how your experiences evolve.

The last time I did this exercise was in 2015 when I opened my consulting company Context Brazil.

Although It was though to find and collect documents I had an amazing time as I found old files from my early career.

I found one PowerPoint presentation, from May 2007: my first job after university. My job was to analyse SMB’s website – The Swedish military Library. It was an ugly and old site from 2005 or so.

In this presentation, I observe how I did the analysis and defended a line of thought. This document set path to an amazing time at SMB where I learned a lot and was able to help them reduce their conversion rates in more than 40%. It shows the ground basis for my experience with web marketing.
